No one can outdo you in the role of a bad son,
And no one in the role of a good son either,
When you forget your real nature,
You are worse than the greatest of sinners;
But when you come to realise it,
You are the crowning glory of creation.
If you yourself fall into delusion,
You behold the whole universe revolving in error and perplexity;
But if you yourself acquire firmness and constancy,
Everything is seen to assume its lawful place.
You are of the form of the individual jiva,
And also of the form of the space-like Brahman.
Thou art the glory of the universe.
