The Yogi must meditate on Brahman as the infinite1 min read

Shri Shankara Acharya’s Vakyavritti Verse 33

“That to which the Vedas attribute infinity and of which they declare the universe to be the effect in order to bring an understanding of it to the people – that is Brahman. This you must understand”.

Commentary

Here the same fact is emphasized as in the previous verse.

The Yogi must meditate on Brahman as the infinite.

That which goes beyond the limits of time and space and is beyond human understanding is called infinite.

This can apply only to Brahman and to nothing else.
